Tappen Commercial Storm Damage to Flooring Store
Commercial storm damage hit this Tappen flooring store hard with groundwater saturating the carpeting in the showroom. The glue-down floorcovering required removal and disposal as it delaminated due to prolonged moisture exposure and had no potential for restoration by cleaning. The technicians extracted the remaining moisture from the concrete flooring and used squeegees to ensure they removed as much as possible before moving on to drying. SERVPRO technicians dried the flooring using air movers in tandem with an LGR dehumidifier porting collected moisture into trash cans and only moved the flooring sample displays a short distance away from the water loss area to limit disruptions to the store during mitigation.
