Pipe Burst
This home located in Orangeburg, NY sustained a water damage in February. The cause of the water resulted from a pipe burst in the wall. As you can see in the photos they had a significant amount of water that covered the floors to about an inch in height. We needed to remove the wood floors in order to properly dry the sub-floor underneath and prevent mold growth. Unfortunately this past winter season has had its ups and downs as far as temperature so it can be hard to keep up with the sudden changes posing a risk for frozen pipes. Minimum temperature a thermostat should be set for is 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter months.
