Oakland Mold Damage Remediation in Basement

Once established, the infestation in this damp Oakland basement caused significant mold damage that was visible on the walls. SERVPRO techs used containment around the worksite to limit the potential for cross-contamination by airborne mold spores. The techs identified the scope of the mold colony infestation and removed the affected sheetrock resulting in a large area within the basement getting opened up. A portion of the ceiling had fallen and exposed the floor joist which needed drying also. The techs used a combination of air movers and dehumidification equipment to bring down the interior humidity levels so the visible colony matter got dried and was then carefully removed. Upon request, the techs can bring in an industrial hygienist to measure the air quality and determine the success of the mold remediation.
