Tenafly Fire Damage Includes Water Cleanup Needs
This home in Tenafly had fire damage in an upper level of the house compounded by the water used to extinguish the flames. Although there was no visible fire loss on the story below, the water ran down through the floor joists and ruined the walls and a portion of the ceiling in the dining room. SERVPRO techs used their moisture detection equipment to locate the areas of the water migration to establish the true scope of the loss area. The furniture got packed out to a secure location during the mitigation process to ensure it remained undamaged. The techs needed to cut away a large amount of the sheetrock on the walls and ceiling and remove the carpet to dry the subfloor.
