Glen Rock Water Damage from Water Softener
The installed water softener unit in this Glen Rock home caused water damage that affected a single area in the home. SERVPRO techs used their moisture detection equipment and determined seepage occurred under the carpet. After extracting the water to make the water easier to handle, it was cut into strips and removed. The techs performed several passes with their portable pumps over the subfloor and set up the drying equipment. Luckily, no water wicked behind the baseboards or into the sheetrock and after drying the floor, the techs prepped the room for the installation of new carpet. After a water spill of this size, proactive treatment against mold such as antimicrobial cleaners and sealants get applied to inhibit any type of growth.
