Oradell Basement Water Damage Cleanup and Restoration

A boiler in this Oradell basement malfunctioned and dumped a large amount of water damage on this finished basement floor. The Before Photo deceptively shows only slight signs of obvious water damage such as the few wet areas on the carpet. But there is no visible indication of more issues caused by the water spill. SERVPRO technicians needed to extract the water from the carpet to make it safer to handle as wet carpet can be injurious to move due to the weight. The technicians removed only the damaged portion of the carpet to dry the slab flooring underneath. The After Photo shows the exacting cuts used on the carpet and the techs set up multiple air movers with a single dehumidifier to dry the substrate rapidly.
